TPM CLOTHING DRIVE

TPM Community Clothing Drive

“People Helping People,” that’s what we are all about at The People’s Ministry. Our goal is to offer support to those in need by promoting projects that make it easy for neighbors to help neighbors. Through programs like the TPM Community Clothing Drive we make it simple for you to take action and make a difference in your own community.

It’s no secret that unemployment, poverty and homelessness are at an all-time high. Families are struggling everywhere trying to get back on their feet and they could really use our help.

The good news is that The People’s Ministry has made it easy for everyone to contribute.  The TPM Community Clothing Drive is an ongoing project that is dedicated to providing decent clothes to families in need. Already TPM members have contributed several thousand items to local organizations that distribute the clothing for free to people in need.

Imagine how many people you could help right now simply by going through your closets, gathering up slightly used clothing and dropping it off at a local shelter. Whether it’s a shelter for battered women and kids or a halfway house that supports people getting back on their feet, every donated item is very valuable. For example:

·         By donating clothes that no longer fit your kids, you can provide another child with a much needed confidence boost. Going to school with a fresh shirt on or wearing a decent pair of shoes can make all the difference in the world to an underprivileged child.

·         Your generosity can make it easier for a job seeker to re-enter the job market.  Being properly dressed for either a job interview or the first day of work goes a long way towards helping people get off to a good start.

Each time you donate clothing or mention this project to your neighbors, you are creating winning solutions for all involved: those in need, your neighbors, yourself and The People’s Ministry. That’s what we mean by “People Helping People.”
