TPM Children’s Outreach Ministry

At The People’s Ministry we are dedicated to the concept of “People Helping People.” With projects such as the TPM Children’s Outreach Ministry, our goal is to make it possible for neighbors to help neighbors. By taking part in these projects you can be sure that you are making a valuable contribution to those in need.

 

The TPM Children’s Outreach Ministry is designed to benefit at-risk youth in lock-down facilities. As a volunteer with this project you will be trained to minister to or serve as a mentor for these troubled kids.

 

We know that good kids sometimes make bad choices. Often these kids haven’t had the benefit of being adequately guided or nurtured in their home environment or community. Peer pressure and circumstances can affect their decision making and lead them down a self destructive path which can ultimately lead to serious consequences like incarceration.

 

Prison is no place for a child. It’s up to us as a society to reach out to these troubled youngsters. Our volunteers for the TPM Children’s Outreach Ministry are fully trained on how to most effectively work with these kids. We not only want to assure these children that they aren’t alone, we also want to support then in adapting values that will enable them to make better choices moving forward.

 

It takes a special person to volunteer as a mentor for troubled youth. Within TPM there are already many members who have stepped up to offer their time to this project. At The People’s Ministry every contribution counts. With projects like the TPM Children’s Ministry everyone who becomes involved has the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child.
