Benefits for Associates of The People’s Ministry

 

At TPM we recognize that there is tremendous power in numbers. One person can make a difference by clothing a neighbor, feeding a friend, helping a child or offering a prayer.  But imagine what one hundred people can do, or one thousand, or even what one million people can accomplish when they work together to help others. By making it easy to participate in the projects and programs sponsored by TPM, we are creating an opportunity for all of our associates to make significant contributions to their community.

 

Here is just one example:  at TPM we ask all associates to take part in our Community Clothing Drive. In addition to donating at least 10 clothing items when they first join TPM, associates are encouraged to give 50 clothing items during each of our Spring, Fall and Christmas Clothing Drives.

 

These items can be gathered from a number of sources: friends, family and/or organizations, and donated to local shelters. Based on the results of our last Christmas Clothing Drive, consider what our associates have the opportunity to achieve by working together:

·         On average each donated item is valued at $7.50.

·         Donating 50 items, three times per year = 150 items X $7.50 = $1125.

·         The time each associate dedicates to the drive (10 hours per year @ $10 per hour) adds another $100 of value to their total contribution.

·         By participating in all three Community Clothing Drives each TPM Associate has the opportunity to easily create $1225 of value for their community.

 

That means that as a whole, TPM Associates have a simple, straightforward way to contribute millions of dollars of clothing items to those in need.
